Information Session Guidelines

What is an Information Session

An employer information session is an event organized by a company or organization to provide information and insights about their company, job opportunities, and hiring processes to potential candidates. It is an opportunity for employers to showcase their company culture, values, and available positions, and for candidates to learn more about the company and network with representatives. These sessions often include presentations, Q&A sessions, and networking opportunities.

Schedule

• Employer Information Sessions can be scheduled ongoing throughout the calendar year. However, scheduling the event closer to a specific program's graduation date will be more beneficial to the students and the employer. 
• All Information Sessions will be scheduled on the Second Thursday of each Month from 8:00am-9:00am or 3:00pm-4:00pm. 

The Audience

Our audience of the Employer Information Sessions will be comprised of students within their last trimester nearing completion of their program or alumni who are seeking a full time position. Our students are all coming from different levels of understanding and expertise, but what they all share is excitement about hearing from employers about what they can expect as they start their careers in Tech.

General Guidelines

• Employers must have a full time position or an apprenticeship which meets Atlas’s guidelines posted in Atlas’s HIRE system in order to schedule an Information Session.
• For those providing breakfast or lunch during their Information Session, we recommend you schedule breakfast to arrive between 7:30am or 7:45am or lunch to arrive at 11:30am or 11:45am before an information session. Below is a list of vendors we have worked with for events + Information Sessions previously.
